As an artist and an American with a conscience and empathy who experienced many struggles to make a living while the leader of the free world demonstrated a troubling knack for abusing power, I've found great comfort in the thoughts of Carl Sagan. He described an image of Earth depicted as a single bright blue pixel suspended in the vastness of space as, "perhaps the best demonstration of the folly of human conceits."

This work was made with the intention of catalyzing ego checks and/or boosts while reminding viewers of how we all exist in connection to a context that is stupendously larger than ourselves.
